Free Safe Staffing CEU Conference: What RNs Need to Know to Advocate for Themselves and Their Patients

This CEU program, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals (PASNAP) and the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA) has been designed to provide Registered Nurses with the necessary tools in order to gather evidence and use relevant data to more effectively advocate for improved care through safe patient limits.

The course will be offered on the following dates/locations:


August 24th

The following topics will be covered:

  • A summary of up-to-date research on nurse staffing and the impact on nurses and patient care
  • Myths and Facts surrounding nurse-to-patient ratios
  • Gathering evidence, making a case for improved nurse-to patient staffing at your hospital
  • Come away with practical tools that you can use to improve staffing at your hospital
  • A panel discussion with nurses from area hospitals who have been successful in advocating for improvements in staffing at their facilities
  • Current legislation being proposed to improve nurse staffing in acute care hospitals

This CEU Course is presented by the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals (PASNAP) in cooperation with the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA).

Contact Hours: This educational activity is provided by the Massachusetts Nurses Association, which is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This program will Contact Hours as defined by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
